For students
Practice, explain, and revise.
Depending on the course and assignment, students answer practice questions, work on written responses, explain their reasoning, and revise their work.
When coaching is available, a student can consider feedback or a question before deciding what to try next. The student remains responsible for the answer, the ideas, and the revision.
For teachers
Review the work behind a submission.
Teachers organize classes and assignments, then review the records available from those activities: selected attempts, explanations, meaningful revisions, and scores.
Those records can inform a conversation, a closer look at a student's work, or a decision about what to teach next. They are not verdicts about authorship, effort, or understanding.
