A learning platform built by a classroom teacher for AP teachers and students.
What is CL Learning Labs?
CL Learning Labs is a small education company founded by Mark Cline Lucey, a teacher currently in the classroom in South Burlington, Vermont. He built this platform because he needed it in his own classroom, and because no one else was building it.
AI changed the rules of school overnight. Students have tools that can generate polished work in seconds, and the assignments teachers have relied on for years to see how students think have quietly stopped working. Most AI tools in education focus on giving students answers faster or giving administrators more charts. Neither helps you on a Tuesday morning figure out which students need attention and why.
CL Learning Labs exists to solve that problem. The platform creates spaces where students do their own thinking, with AI coaching that helps them improve without taking over. Teachers can see exactly where each student stands.

Banning AI does not work. Turning it loose without limits does not work either. CL Learning Labs takes a different path. AI is woven into the learning itself, not bolted on as a shortcut.
Students practice through adaptive quizzes, free-response coaching, decision scenarios, and essay feedback. AI helps them improve their own work without taking over.

Teachers have always been asked to differentiate. But in a class of 25 or 30 students with different strengths, different gaps, and different needs, doing that well is nearly impossible without help.
CL Learning Labs starts to make real differentiation more possible. Students get feedback and practice at the level where they actually are, not where the class average is. And Teacher Decision Support gives you a focused daily view of how needs differ across your students: who is falling behind, who is gaining ground, which skills need reteaching, and where to focus your time.
This is not a dashboard full of charts. It is built around the decisions you actually make: who to check in with, which students to group together, and what to adjust tomorrow.
Built for AP classrooms
CL Learning Labs is built for AP teachers and AP students. AP courses have clear curriculum, motivated students, and real stakes. The need for genuine understanding is non-negotiable.
The platform currently supports AP Statistics, AP World History, AP US History, and AP Government, with more subjects on the way. We started here because this is where the need is clearest.
